Twitter announced earlier this week that it is removing its signature ‘Favorite’ action on its platform with more than 300 million active users. The World Wide Web responded accordingly with a mix of immediate reactions… The Internet, constantly over dramatizing things, am I right? Or am I wrong?
Somehow, someway, over the last 10 years, social media has become a necessary part of the way that our community and our world are connected. It’s become a mode in which we celebrate, show empathy, raise awareness, humbly brag about how awesome our life is turning out or openly laugh at how our life is turning out—it’s crazy.
Which brings us to this month’s BuzzLine… In exactly six words, tell us your reaction to the ‘Favorite’ to ‘Like’ change. Your answers might look something like:
- No reaction, I have a life.
- My ‘hate faves’ have lost meaning.
- Likes already exist, make something else.
Submit your answers through the end of November here on the Buzz Bin, on our Facebook page or on Twitter with the hashtag #BuzzLine, and you could be the proud new owner of a $25 target gift card!
